  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20)
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 8 soft corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and chop tomatoes and lettuce.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Drain excess grease if needed, then add taco seasoning and ½ cup water. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  4. Warm tortillas in another skillet or wrap in foil and place in a preheated oven at 200°F (93°C) for about 10 minutes.
  5. Assemble tacos by placing seasoned beef on each tortilla and topping with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and cilantro.
  6. Serve immediately with extra toppings on the side.
