  • 6 day-old croissants, torn into pieces
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a medium baking dish.
  2. Layer half the torn croissants in the greased dish. Add sliced bananas and pour half of the egg mixture (whisked eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and maple syrup) over it.
  3. Repeat with remaining croissants and custard.
  4. Let the casserole sit for 15-20 minutes to soak up the custard.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown on top and set in the center.
