  • 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 package jello (3 oz) any flavor
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 tub Cool Whip (8 oz)
  • Sprinkles or crushed candy for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix yellow cake mix, water, eggs, and oil until combined. Pour into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  3. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Poke holes across the cake using a fork, spacing them about an inch apart.
  5. Prepare jello according to package instructions by mixing boiling water with jello powder and adding cold water. Pour evenly over the poked cake while it’s still warm.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight.
  7. Before serving, spread Cool Whip on top and sprinkle with candies.
