  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • For Frosting:
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time along with maple syrup, mixing until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture alternately with milk, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the crispy bacon bits, reserving some for topping.
  7. Spoon the batter into prepared liners and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool completely on wire racks before frosting.
  9. For the frosting, beat butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar and maple syrup until desired consistency is reached.
  10. Frost cooled cupcakes generously and sprinkle remaining bacon bits on top.
