Cake Base
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix or your favorite cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
Frosting
  • 1 cup cream cheese frosting store-bought or homemade
Coating
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips for coating
  • 1 cup red and blue sprinkles for decoration

Method

Prepare the Cake
  1. Preheat the oven to 350?F (175?C). Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely.
Make Cake Balls
  1. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.
  2. Add the cream cheese frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Refrigerate the cake balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
Coat the Cake Balls
  1. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  2. Dip each cake ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  3. Immediately sprinkle with red and blue sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
  4. Place the coated cake balls back on the baking sheet and let them set completely.
