Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
  • 2 large Ripe Bananas Mashed
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Optional Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts Walnuts or Pecans
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips Dark or Semi-sweet

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix the mashed bananas, honey, applesauce, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in any optional add-ins if using.
Baking
  1. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes
