Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, mix the mashed bananas, honey, applesauce, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in any optional add-ins if using.
Baking
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
