Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add-ins
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries washed and drained

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350?F (175?C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the wet ingredients: melted butter, beaten eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the blueberries.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use fresh blueberries. If using frozen, do not thaw them before adding to the batter.
