Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries washed and stems removed
Sweeteners
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
Liquids
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
Flavorings
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pure vanilla extract recommended
Pectin
  • 1 package pectin for making jam

Method
 

Prepare the Blueberries
  1. In a saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir gently to mix.
Cook the Jam
  1. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar dissolves and the blueberries start to break down.
  2. Add the pectin and bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Boil for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add Vanilla
  1. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Jar the Jam
  1. Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars using a canning funnel, leaving about 1/4 inch of headspace. Seal the jars with lids.
  2. Allow the jars to cool to room temperature before storing them in the refrigerator.

Notes
