Blueberry Syrup Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries washed and stems removed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water

Method
 

Making the Syrup
  1. In a saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar, and water.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the blueberries burst and the mixture thickens slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  5. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer into a bottle or jar, pressing the blueberries to extract as much liquid as possible.
  6. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
