Ingredients
  

Corn Mixture
  • 4 ears fresh corn kernels removed
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

Prepare the Corn
  1. Remove the kernels from the corn and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the buttermilk to the corn and mix well.
Coat the Corn
  1. In another bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Dredge the corn mixture in the dry ingredients until well coated.
Fry the Corn
  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated corn in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  3. Remove the fried corn and drain on paper towels.
Serve
  1. Serve hot as a side dish, garnished with additional Cajun seasoning if desired.

Notes
