Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add refried beans, corn, salsa, chili powder, and cumin to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through.
Assembly
- In a mixing bowl, layer half of the tortilla strips at the bottom of the casserole dish.
- Spread half of the beef mixture over the tortillas, then sprinkle with half of the shredded cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining tortillas, beef mixture, and cheese.
Baking
- Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
