Preparation
  1. Chop the onions and garlic finely, ensuring they release their delightful aroma when saut?ed. This step should take about 5 minutes until they become soft and translucent.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat. Stir occasionally for about 8-10 minutes until it?s beautifully browned and crumbly.
  3. Add the chopped onions and garlic to the pot, stirring them in with the beef. Cook together for another 5 minutes.
  4. Mix in the bell peppers, diced tomatoes, and tomato paste. Stir well to combine all the ingredients, allowing them to mingle for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle in your spices: chili powder, cumin, paprika, and salt. Stir everything together; let it cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot, allowing it to cook for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Taste your chili con carne towards the end of cooking and adjust seasoning if needed.
