Ingredients
  

Chocolate Mousse
  • 1 cup heavy cream chilled
  • 6 ounces dark chocolate chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sugar optional
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Strawberry Topping
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sugar to taste
Garnish
  • 4 sprigs mint leaves for decoration

Method
 

Prepare Chocolate Mousse
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  3. Fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream gently until fully combined.
  4. Add sugar and vanilla extract, then mix until smooth.
Prepare Strawberry Topping
  1. In a small bowl, combine sliced strawberries and sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes to macerate.
Assemble Dessert Cups
  1. Spoon the chocolate mousse into dessert cups, filling them halfway.
  2. Add a layer of macerated strawberries on top of the mousse.
  3. Top with more chocolate mousse until cups are filled.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  5. Garnish with mint leaves before serving.
