Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup salted butter softened
  • 2 cups ripe peaches diced
  • 1/2 cup turbinado sugar plus a little extra for topping
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1.5 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tsp whole milk for glaze

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350?F (175?C). Dice the peaches into small bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and 1/2 cup turbinado sugar until combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating until combined. Add the whole milk and vanilla extract, beating until combined. Gently stir in the diced peaches.
  3. Sift in the all-purpose flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix gently to combine.
  4. Grease a 9x5 loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. Pour the bread mixture into the loaf pan and sprinkle some turbinado sugar on top.
  5. Bake at 350?F (175?C) for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes mostly clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 3-5 minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack.
  6. Mix 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1 tsp whole milk to make a glaze. Drizzle over the cooled bread before serving.
