Ingredients
  

Crab Cake Mixture
  • 1 lb fresh crab meat lump or backfin
  • 1 cup bread crumbs preferably panko
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
For Cooking
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for frying

Method
 

Prepare the Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine crab meat, bread crumbs, beaten egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until combined.
Form the Cakes
  1. Shape the mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. Place on a baking sheet.
Cook the Cakes
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add crab cakes and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Serve
  1. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
