Method
Prepare the Filling
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
Assemble the Sandwiches
- Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer the cucumber slices evenly on top of the cream cheese on two of the slices.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, cream cheese side down, to form sandwiches.
Cut and Serve
- Using a sharp knife, cut each sandwich into quarters or triangles. Arrange on a serving platter and serve immediately.
