Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ teaspoons brown sugar or granulated sugar or a blend
  • heaping ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Water or a lemon wedge to moisten the rim
  • 5 ounces sparkling apple cider
  • 1 ounce cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 ounce ginger beer
  • 1 ½ teaspoons freshly-squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Ice
  • Thinly-sliced apples for garnish

Method
 

  1. Stir together sugar(s) and ground cinnamon and pour out onto a small plate. Moisten the outer rim of serving glass(es) with water or lightly run a lemon wedge around it, then press into the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat the rim.
  2. Add sparkling apple cider, cranberry juice, ginger beer, and lemon juice to the glass and stir to combine. Use a microplane to grate a little bit of the cinnamon stick into the drink.
  3. Sip and adjust flavors to your liking. Add ice and garnish with the cinnamon stick and thinly-sliced apples.
