Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375?F.
  2. Cream butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, powdered sugar, egg, and almond extract in a large mixing bowl until fluffy.
  3. In a separate medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Stir until soft dough forms.
  5. Roll out and cut with a cookie cutter. Aim for about ? inch thickness for a soft cookie.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes on a greased pan. Let cool on a wire rack.
  7. Mix frosting ingredients with a hand mixer. If too thick, add a tad more milk.
  8. Frost the cookies with pink and red frosting.
  9. Use decorating gel to add texture to the hearts. Sprinkle with red and pink sugar sprinkles and let set before gifting.
