- Remove the skin from the salmon, if present. Pat with paper towels to ensure the surface is mostly dry. Cut the salmon into 1 to 2-inch cubes.
- Mix the spices (brown sugar, paprika, smoked paprika, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, cornstarch, and salt) together in a small bowl.
- Toss the salmon cubes with the spices and oil, mixing until well coated.
- Place the salmon pieces in the air fryer, spreading them out to avoid overcrowding. Air fry at 400 degrees for 8 minutes.
- Check for doneness. Salmon should be textured and golden on the outside, juicy on the inside, and should flake easily when pressed with a fork. For medium doneness, cook for an additional 6-7 minutes if preferred.
