French Onion Deviled Eggs

A delicious twist on classic deviled eggs, infused with the rich flavors of French onion soup.

Ingredients
  

Eggs
  • 6 large eggs hard-boiled
Filling
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup French onion dip
  • 1/4 cup caramelized onions store-bought or homemade
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chives chopped, for garnish
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Eggs
  1. Place the eggs in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool for 5 minutes, then peel and slice in half lengthwise.
Make the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the yolks, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, French onion dip, caramelized onions, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
Assemble the Deviled Eggs
  1. Spoon or pipe the filling into the egg white halves. Garnish with chopped chives.
  2. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
