Ingredients
  

Potatoes
  • 2 pounds Russet potatoes peeled and cubed
Dairy
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
Seasoning
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Potatoes
  1. Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water.
  2. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
Mash the Potatoes
  1. Drain the potatoes in a colander and return them to the pot.
  2. Add the melted butter, heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
Serve
  1. Transfer the mashed potatoes to a serving bowl and garnish with additional butter if desired.
  2. Serve warm as a side dish.
