Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
Spices
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and honey.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth.
  3. Add smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  4. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  6. Let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool before using or storing.
