Ingredients
  

For the Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour You can use whole wheat flour for a nuttier flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Kosher salt works best for even distribution.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Avocado oil is a great substitute.
  • 3/4 cup warm water About 110?F, make sure it?s not too hot.
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast You can use active dry yeast if that's what you have.
For Toppings (Optional)
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt Greek yogurt can be used for a thicker texture.
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes Halved for sweetness and freshness.
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese Goat cheese is a delicious alternative.
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil Chopped; parsley can be used if basil isn't available.

Method
 

Making the Dough
  1. Combine the flour, salt, and water in a mixing bowl. Stir until a soft dough forms, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Rest the dough by covering it with a damp cloth for 30 minutes.
  4. Divide the rested dough into equal portions, about the size of a golf ball.
  5. Roll each piece out on a floured surface until it's about ? inch thick.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm, optionally brushed with garlic-infused olive oil or sprinkled with fresh herbs.
