Ingredients
  

Dip Base
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
Onion Mixture
  • 2 medium yellow onions thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter for caramelizing
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Method
 

Caramelize Onions
  1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and salt, cooking until the onions are soft and caramelized, about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Mix Dip
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, and softened cream cheese. Mix until smooth.
  2. Add the caramelized onions, black pepper, garlic powder, dried parsley, and dried thyme to the mixture. Stir until well combined.
Chill and Serve
  1. Cover the dip and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld. Serve with chips or vegetables.
