Ingredients

Dough and Toppings
  • 1 piece pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 8 oz hot sausage cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce or pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey for drizzling
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for brushing
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning optional
  • fresh arugula or spinach optional topping

Equipment

  • oven
  • Pizza stone
  • Baking sheet

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 450?F (230?C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  3. Brush the dough with olive oil and pre-bake it in the oven for 5 minutes, until it begins to firm up but isn?t fully cooked.
  4. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the pre-baked crust. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  5. Evenly distribute the cooked sausage over the pizza, followed by the crumbled feta cheese.
  6. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  7. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Drizzle the honey evenly over the top of the pizza.
  8. If desired, top the pizza with fresh arugula or spinach. Slice and serve hot.
