Iced Strawberry Tea

Ingredients
  

For the Tea Base
  • 4 cups Water Use filtered water for best flavor.
  • 4-6 tea bags Black tea bags A robust choice.
For the Strawberry Mixture
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries Ripe and juicy.
  • 1/4 cup Sugar or honey Adjust to taste.
For Serving
  • Ice cubes Essential for serving.
  • Lemon slices Enhances flavor.

Method
 

Brew the Tea
  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and steep 4-6 tea bags for about 5-7 minutes.
Prepare Strawberries
  1. Wash and hull 1 cup of ripe strawberries. Slice them into quarters.
Combine Ingredients
  1. In a large pitcher, combine the brewed tea with the sliced strawberries. Add ? cup of sugar or honey and stir well.
Chill
  1. Allow the pitcher to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Serve Over Ice
  1. Fill tall glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled strawberry tea over the top. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
