Ingredients
  

Sauce Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce preferably low sodium
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 2 scallions green onions chopped for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  2. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes to the mixture.
  3. Whisk the ingredients together until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and heat over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before using.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
