Ingredients
  

For the Cake
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
For the Milk Soak
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
For the Banana Pudding Layer
  • 2 cups banana pudding mix
  • 4 cups cold milk
  • 2 medium ripe bananas sliced
  • 1 cup whipped cream for topping

Method
 

Prepare the Cake
  1. Preheat the oven to 350?F (175?C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture alternately with milk, starting and ending with flour.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
Prepare the Milk Soak
  1. In a bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk.
  2. Once the cake is cool, poke holes all over the surface with a fork.
  3. Pour the milk mixture evenly over the cake and let it soak for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare the Banana Pudding Layer
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk the banana pudding mix with cold milk until thickened.
  2. Fold in sliced bananas gently.
  3. Spread the banana pudding mixture over the soaked cake.
  4. Top with whipped cream and additional banana slices if desired.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes
