Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cans canned peaches drained
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice to enhance flavor
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350?F (175?C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained canned peaches, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, melted butter, sugar, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Pour the peach mixture into the bottom of a greased 9-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the batter over the peach mixture, spreading it evenly.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  4. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
