Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cans sliced peaches drained
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice fresh or bottled
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk whole or 2%
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350?F (175?C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained sliced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Stir gently to combine.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Pour the peach mixture into the bottom of a greased 9-inch baking dish.
  2. Spoon the topping mixture over the peaches, spreading it evenly.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
  4. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream if desired.
