Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups canned peaches drained
  • 1 cup peach juice from canned peaches
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
Topping
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans optional

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350?F (175?C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained peaches, peach juice, and sugar. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Prepare the Topping
  1. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peach mixture.
  2. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring even coverage.
  3. If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans on top of the butter.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
