Ingredients
  

Chicken Wings
  • 2 pounds chicken wings fresh or thawed
Pineapple Cowboy Candy Sauce
  • 1 cup pineapple juice fresh or canned
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce adjust for spice preference
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken Wings
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a mixing bowl.
  3. Season the wings with salt and black pepper, tossing to coat evenly.
Make the Pineapple Cowboy Candy Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, sriracha, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
Bake the Wings
  1. Arrange the seasoned wings on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
Glaze and Serve
  1. Remove the wings from the oven and toss them in the pineapple cowboy candy sauce until well coated.
  2. Serve immediately with extra sauce on the side for dipping.
