Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, sour cream, half of the cheddar cheese, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
Assembly
- Transfer the potato mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the potato mixture. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are tender.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
