Ingredients
  

Potatoes
  • 4 medium Russet potatoes peeled and grated
Dairy
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1/2 cup milk
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Topping
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, sour cream, half of the cheddar cheese, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
Assembly
  1. Transfer the potato mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the potato mixture. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are tender.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
