Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti
Sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 oz
  • 1 cup black olives pitted and sliced
  • 2 tbsp capers rinsed
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and saut? until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Stir in crushed tomatoes, black olives, capers, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Combining
  1. Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
