Ingredients
  

For the Whipped Cream
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Must be cold for best results.
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Adds flavor.
For Stabilization
  • 1 tablespoon Gelatin (powdered or sheet) Dissolved in cold water.
  • 2 tablespoons Cold water Used to bloom the gelatin.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chill your mixing bowl and beaters in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
  2. Pour cold heavy whipping cream into the chilled bowl.
  3. Using an electric mixer, beat the cream on medium speed until soft peaks form (about 2-3 minutes).
  4. Gradually sprinkle in powdered sugar and the stabilizer while continuing to mix.
  5. Increase the mixer speed to high and continue beating until stiff peaks form (another 2-3 minutes).
  6. Taste the frosting and adjust sweetness by adding more powdered sugar if desired.
