Swiss Chard Spanakopita Tart

Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 bunch Swiss chard washed and chopped
  • 1 cup feta cheese crumbled
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for saut?ing
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper to taste
Crust
  • 1 package phyllo dough thawed
  • 1/2 cup butter melted

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and saut? until fragrant.
  2. Add chopped Swiss chard and cook until wilted. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled Swiss chard, feta cheese, ricotta cheese, beaten eggs, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Prepare the Crust
  1. Preheat the oven to 375?F (190?C).
  2. Brush a tart pan with melted butter. Layer phyllo dough sheets in the pan, brushing each layer with melted butter.
  3. Pour the filling into the prepared crust and spread evenly.
  4. Fold the edges of the phyllo dough over the filling.
Bake the Tart
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  2. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before slicing.
