Ingredients
  

Tuna Salad
  • 2 cans tuna drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise adjust to taste
  • 1 stalk celery finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper to taste
Sandwich Assembly
  • 8 slices bread your choice
  • 4 leaves lettuce optional
  • 1 tomato sliced optional

Method
 

Prepare Tuna Salad
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, chopped celery, chopped red onion, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well using a fork until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Assemble Sandwich
  1. Lay out 4 slices of bread. If using, place a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato on each slice.
  2. Spoon the tuna salad mixture evenly over the lettuce and tomato. Top with the remaining slices of bread.
  3. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
