  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice about 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon honey optional for sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil for added flavor

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, honey, grated ginger, black pepper, and sesame oil until well combined.
  2. Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Cover the dish with plastic wrap or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours for best flavor.
