Ingredients
  

Chocolate and Cream
  • 6 ounces white chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
Butter and Sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 2 cups confectioners? sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Melt the white chocolate by chopping it and using a double boiler or microwave, microwaving in 20-second increments until smooth. Cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat the butter on medium speed for 1 minute using a handheld or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment.
  3. Switch the mixer to low speed and gradually add the confectioners? sugar.
  4. Stir the cooled white chocolate until smooth and add it to the butter/sugar mixture. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until combined and creamy.
  5. Add the cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat for 1 minute until combined. Adjust the consistency as needed with additional cream or salt.
