  • 2 cups tart apples (like Granny Smith), diced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened (for frosting)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Add sugar, salt, butter, egg, and flour. Mix until combined.
  2. Knead: Transfer dough to a floured surface; knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area until doubled (about 1 hour).
  3. Roll Out: Punch down the dough and roll into a rectangle (16×12 inches).
  4. Fill: Spread butter over dough; mix cinnamon and brown sugar together and sprinkle on top. Add diced apples.
  5. Roll Up: Tightly roll from one edge to form a log and cut into twelve equal pieces.
  6. Bake & Frost: Place rolls in a greased baking dish; let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for about 25 minutes until golden. Make frosting by blending cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth; drizzle over warm rolls.
